McGregor Area Historical Society |
The McGregor area Historical Society was formed in 2003. The purpose is to provide a place where information specific to McGregor, Tamarack, and the surrounding 13 townships can be stored for use by people wanting to do research or satisfy their curiosity. If you have a question, either call 218-768-3051 or email bkfarley@frontiernet.net Research Fees: $5 per 1/2 hr. of research for members, $10 for non-members. Photocopies: $.25 per page. Scanning, copying or e-mailing photos: 8x10 color $4, 8x10 B&W $3. Please note that if you become a member, our research fees are halved! |

The McGregor Lions Club is backed by the world's largest service
organization, Lions Club International, and is one of more than 70
clubs in local District 5M-9. For over 40 years, our club has
planned and conducted a variety of community and humanitarian
projects. The annual Athletic/Academic Banquet to honor local school
scholars and athletes has been a major project almost since our
beginning. Other equally important projects are Sight Conservation,
Hearing, Diabetes Awareness, Citizenship, Educational,
Environmental, Recreational, International and Social Services,
Youth Exchange, and Drug Awareness. We raise money through
community activities such as the Corn Feed, Auctions, Bingo & other
gambling. The money raised is returned to the community. |

Trails cover 170 miles and travel through tamarack turf, including both wooded and open areas; connecting Mille Lacs Lake and Big Sandy Lake near Savanna Forest in Aitkin Co. with choices for stopping at several MnUSA Associate Members business establishments around McGregor, or at our Sno-Flyers' trailside rest near Lawler. |
