Your socially distanced getaway is in McGregor! Bring the family for some adventure where winter wonders never cease!

When you experience one of McGregor’s natural wonders below and share a photo on social media using #naturalwonders and @McGregorMNChamber, we’ll send you a free decal as a souvenir! Can you master McGregor’s natural wonders and collect them all?

Step 1: Visit McGregor.

Step 2: Explore one (or more!) of the natural wonders listed below.

Step 3: Snap a photo.

Step 4: Share your photo on Facebook or Instagram using #naturalwonders. Be sure to @McGregorMNChamber too!

Step 5: Wait for the McGregor Area Chamber of Commerce to request your mailing address.

Step 6: Receive your decal(s) in the mail.*

Step 7: Repeat.

Which natural wonder suits you?

Bring your snowmobiles—or rent them from Big Sandy Lodge and Resort—and explore Aitkin County’s 600 miles of trails. Take in the scenery, observe the wildlife, and visit neighboring communities. Show us your sledding adventure on Facebook and Instagram!

Wander through rolling hills, hardwood forests, grasslands, bogs, lakes, and rivers on cross-country skis or snowshoes! You’ll find snowshoe trails at Rice Lake Wildlife Refuge  and  miles of cross-country ski trails just minutes from McGregor.

Whether you’re after walleye, muskie, bass, or crappie, you’ll get an opportunity to catch “the big one” while ice fishing on McGregor’s many recreational lakes. Snap a photo of yourself jigging the hard water!

For a really spectacular view of our winter wonderland, climb the 94-foot Big Sandy Overlook Tower in Savanah State Forest. Don’t forget to take a selfie!

After a long day of playing in the snow, settle in with a book or a board game at one of McGregor’s resorts, hotels, motels, or cabins. Whatever type of accommodations you fancy, we have plenty of lodging options for you to warm up and recharge.

Fuel up at one of McGregor’s restaurants, coffee shops, bakeries, or other dining options. From Northwoods-inspired woodfired pizza, juicy burgers, and fresh fish, to delectable baked goods—you’ll be sure to find your favorite eats!
