Sandy Lake Recreation Center & Libby Dam

The Sandy Lake Dam and Recreation Area offers camping, boating, swimming beach, playgrounds, laundry facilities, two lake boat ramps, a river boat ramp, fishing pier, and dock space. The 60-site, reservable campground has different options for camping—including pull-through sites, electrical hookups, a camper cabin, and more—and it is open from spring through fall. It also features vault and flush toilets, hot showers, and a sanitary dumping station. Pets are allowed. The Sandy Lake Recreation Area is part of the US Army Corps of Engineers Mississippi Headwaters Project.
