Riverwood Healthcare Center operates a 25-bed hospital in Aitkin plus three primary care clinics in Aitkin, Garrison and McGregor. The McGregor clinic is staffed by a team of friendly and experienced healthcare professionals and offers a wide range of primary healthcare services, from routine exams to specialized services like mammography, physical therapy and diabetes and nutrition education. Lab and x-ray services are also provided on site. Riverwood provides Urgent Care at its Aitkin clinic, Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Specialty care from cardiology to general surgery and orthopedics may also be accessed in Aitkin.

The Tamarack Sno-Flyers Snowmobile Club started grooming trails in 1972. We now groom 155.1 miles of trails in Aitkin County.
We meet the second Saturday of each month at 8:00 a.m. at our clubhouse located in Tamarack. Everyone is welcome to join!

I was raised on a farm in Northeastern Iowa, completed nurses training in Minneapolis and was transplanted to McGregor Lakes area. My jobs have been varied and many. Up North Riders are an ATV club dedicated to safe and fun riding. We have over 100 members and 200 miles of Northwoods ATV Trails. Club activities include riding events, raffles, youth ATV safety training, and other community events. We work with the DNR to expand ATV trails in Aitkin County and we are based out of McGregor, MN.
